Job Description:

Improve the community in which you live by working on public roads (highways, municipal and rural roads and rights-of-way)

Duties include mowing, edging, sweeping and litter removal as well as other roadside maintenance duties (guardrail repair, fencing repairs, sign repairs, etc) for this nonprofit young adult conservation corps who has contracts with cities, counties, state and federal agencies.

This is an 18 month Developmental Position providing paid work experience as well as mentoring and development of career and personal skills and goals.

This is a full time hourly position, starting rate $8.05-$10 DOE. hours are on a 4/10 work schedule, 10 hours each Mon-Thurs.

No experience necessary will train. However, Landscaping Experience a plus. Roadside maintenance experience a big plus.

Applicant must be between the ages of 18-25 (up to 29 with experience may be considered for a leadership position) or a veteran up to age 35 and able to work outside in unpredictable Florida weather including but not limited to extreme heat, cold, and windy conditions.

Training such as life management skills training, budget, credit workshops available. Certificates such as Intermediate or Advanced Maintenance of Traffic and Waders in the Water available. Other programs available such as tuition or other educational certificates.
